FAQs
What are the requirements to join the club?
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in astronomy and space science. You don’t need prior knowledge or equipment—just curiosity and a willingness to learn. Paid membership is required to access full benefits, such as exclusive events and voting rights.
Do I need a telescope to join the club?
Not at all! While many members have their own telescopes, you don’t need one to join. We often share equipment at events, and new members are welcome to observe and learn before deciding if they’d like to invest in gear.
What types of events does the club host?
We offer a variety of events, including:
Monthly stargazing nights at dark-sky locations
Workshops and how-to sessions on telescope setup, astrophotography, and sky navigation
Public outreach events, such as sidewalk astronomy and school visits
Guest speaker nights with astronomers and science educators
Member-only field trips to observatories or special celestial events
Can I bring family or friends to events?
Absolutely! Many of our events are family-friendly. Guests are welcome at public events, and members can bring guests to private ones unless otherwise specified.
